Get to know our designer Q&A
How would you describe your design aesthetic?
I would personally describe our design aesthetic as a laidback boho chic vibe, combining materials, colors and mixing and matching pieces and styles. In design there are no rules, if you like it, wear it.
How does the design process work?
Our designs are influenced and inspired by universal symbols of love and protection, we are constantly intrigued by the traditions and beliefs held in different cultures.
In our studio, the process normally works like this… we create moodboards of images, color palettes that inspire us, cultural symbols of protection, people we follow with a cool vibe and style, among other ideas, for example a trip we just made, pictures from this trip. We then start sketching ideas which later transform to designs. We begin to make color combinations and once this is done and we have the idea of the piece we want to make we start working on our wax model. The wax model is casted into a silver sample piece. We work on this piece to make sure it is in perfect size, shape, style. Once approved, we continue to handcast all the pieces we are going to create and begin to put together each model.
What made you start your own jewelry line?
I wanted to create a brand of my own and let my creativity bloom. I wanted to pursue my dream of creating pieces that people would appreciate, fall in love with and wear proudly, but at the same time, I wanted these pieces to be of everyday use and affordable, something you could wear all day to remind yourself of self love, protection and empowerment. Believe it or not, I started with fashion design, designing evening gowns to be exact but at the end of the day I ended up spending more time designing bracelets out of fabrics scraps that would be laying around my cutting table. I instantly focused my attention on accessories and the rest of the pieces started falling together.
What advice would you give small business owners who are just starting out?
The best advice I would give to small business owners and independent designers is to risk it all, put yourself out there even if no one believes in your idea. Show up with confidence and passion in your studio put on some good music and get on with it. If you have a passion for what you are doing and have a clear end goal the outcome is amazing. It's all in your mindset. It´s not easy, you have to work twice as hard, you have to self motivate yourself everyday but the reward of creating something you love and being the owner of your own time and of your own dream is simply priceless.
A trip you will always remember?
I have a nomadic soul, so every trip is something that I hold deeply rooted and always come back to plan the next one. Choosing one right now, I would have to say road tripping through the Amalfi Coast in Italy, the food, the places, the people, the design aesthetic. The overall vibe of the cutest little towns, the boat ride to Capri, the beauty of this island, the hues of blues surrounding this magical place.

Having a healthy mind and a healthy body is the key to being happy, to feeling positive and energized. My daily routing involves exercising and taking some me time to meditate, to practice gratefulness and to breathe.
